In short
Bebralka is a flashcard study service. We collect only what is needed to run your account and sync your sets across devices. We don't sell data, show ads, or use third-party trackers.
What we store
Account: your email, the name you provide, and how you sign in (passwords are stored only as hashes).
Google sign-in: Google shares your email, name and account identifier with us. We get no access to any other Google data.
Sign in with Apple: Apple shares an account identifier and an email — your real one or a private relay address if you choose to hide it — and, on the first sign-in, your name.
Your content: the card sets you create, your Learn progress and Match best times.
Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in, plus your language and appearance preferences.
Reports: if you report a set, we keep the reason you chose and a link to your account while we review it.
Where data lives
Database and authentication are provided by Supabase (EU servers, Frankfurt). The website is hosted on Vercel. These processors handle data only to operate the service.
The iPhone app keeps a copy of the sets you open and any answers not sent yet on your device so it works offline. Signing out removes the copy of your sets from the device.
AI features
Creating sets with AI, cards from notes, filling in definitions, explaining mistakes, study guides, practice tests and the AI chat run on Anthropic's Claude model. Requests go through Vercel AI Gateway, and the model gets only what you sent with that feature — a request, text, a photo of a page, a PDF, cards or chat messages — never your email or name.
We don't keep the text, photos and files you send — only how many requests you made and how long they were each day, to count the limits. A study guide you make is kept in your account and deleted with its set, folder or your account. The AI chat is kept only on your device, and “New chat” erases it. Anthropic doesn't use API data to train its models and may keep it for a limited time to prevent abuse.
Don't send personal data — yours or anyone else's — to the AI features.
Who can see your sets
Sets are private by default. If you turn on link sharing, anyone with the link can view, study and copy the set and will see your name as its author.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account in Settings on the website or in Profile in the app — all your sets and progress are removed immediately and permanently. You can also email us and we will delete your data manually.
